Aly Dalrymple Fine Artist
Aly is currently studying a Masters in Design course, Fashion Textiles Design With Business at Brighton University. aly's main areas of interest in the course are painting and Textiles. She also specialises in print and particular enjoys the freedom that the subject offers. Aly focuses her Art Work on colour and texture, and enjoy using different materials and media.
Aly organized her own textiles exhibition in April 2006, successfully selling 12 works incorporating free machine embroidery and textiles painting. Fortunately in October 2006 and she was also selected to design garments to be modelled in the Bristol Hobb’s Fashion show.
Art has always been a large part of Aly's life. As well as taking part in numerous Community arts projects, she studied dance and drama before deciding to concentrate solely upon art. After travelling in East Africa she is aware that the landscape, people and the art has influenced her own work.
