Simon Willmott - Life Size Nude Sculptor

As a youngster, Simon Willmott was tutored one-to-one by a Royal Academy artist at boarding school. This laid foundation for a life long interest and practice in painting and sculpture. He had paintings hung in the Guild Hall London at the age of nine with a Highly Commended from the Queen Mother.

In the last few years he has produced larger sculptures and now has discovered the joy of rendering the human form in life size, not just a representation of a body but also as a person. Life size nudes are a specialty with an emotional personality which captures the model's mood and sensitivity.

Life-size, life-like nude sculptures of women for gardens and living spaces. Each sculpture is individually modelled and cast in bronze or stone resin with a variety of finishes. They capture the beauty and personality of the models to reveal tender sculptures made from robust materials.

The preparation for the four pieces started almost four years ago with many learning curves working life-size. Understanding materials and carrying out long term environmental tests on weathering has culminated in four beautiful sculptures. They meet the high standard in durability and artistic portrayal that I set out to achieve.

The sculptures will provide a focal point in the garden , from a window or entrance. They could adorn a previously vacant corner adding interest and life. The standing poses take up the least space and will fit into the smallest of gardens. Placing sculptures is very personal and objective, suffice it to say that they are not very heavy and can be moved around easily to find your favourite position. Once found there are easy to follow instructions on security anchoring.
